IDXDIAG is built to respect your privacy. Here is exactly what happens to your data when you use the tool.
What data we collect
We read the hardware specifications from the file you upload or type in. That is CPU, GPU, VRAM, RAM, storage, OS, DirectX, and resolution. We do not ask for your name and there is no account. The one exception is optional. If you ask to be notified when an unreleased title's requirements are published, we store the email address you give us, and we use it only for that single notification.
Your DxDiag file
The file you upload is held in memory only. It is never written to disk and never saved. Once your verdict is sent back to your browser, the file content is gone. If our text parser cannot read a file you uploaded, the file content is sent to Google's AI to extract the specs, and it is still not stored.
What we send to Google
To write the plain language part of a verdict, your parsed specs and the selected title's requirements are sent to Google's Vertex AI so the model can compare them and explain the result. The readiness score itself is computed on our own server from benchmark tables, not by the AI.
What we store on our server
Two optional actions store data on our server, and only when you choose them. If you create a share link for a result, we store an anonymized copy of the specs and the title under a short random code, reachable at a share URL. If you create a shareable profile, we store it the same way under a profile URL. These copies carry hardware specs only, with no name and no account, and they stay until removed. Saving a profile locally instead keeps it in your own browser storage, where it never leaves your device.
What we log
We keep a small anonymous log to improve the catalog. When a search does not find a title, we record the search text, the section, and the time, with no personal identifier. We also keep a short list of recently checked titles to show on the home page. Neither log records who you are.
Cloudflare
The site is served through Cloudflare, which sits as a network layer in front of our server. As part of delivering and protecting the site, Cloudflare processes your request and sees standard connection data such as your IP address and browser headers. Cloudflare's own terms cover how they handle that data.
Your rights and contact
To remove a locally saved profile, clear your browser storage for this site or use the clear saved profile link on the tool page. A share link or shared profile you created can be removed on request. For questions or removal requests, email [email protected].
