Can I Run Grow Up?

Grow Up is an adventure casual game from Reflections, a Ubisoft Studio, released in 2016. Infogrames published it. It offers a single player campaign. It is old enough that no current GPU generation existed when it shipped, so modern hardware tends to be far past what it can use. Cloud saves are enabled. It handles controllers properly rather than leaving the player to bind buttons by hand. Its Steam review count passes 1 thousand, a large enough sample that odd hardware behaviour would be known by now. It is a Windows title, so the requirements below are the Windows ones. There are 18 achievements to chase. Steam lists support for 6 languages. Metacritic places it at 71.

Setting and environment

Players spend their time in a gentle, brightly drawn world, moving through one continuous open world. 12 storefront images show what the game actually looks like in motion. That openness is what costs performance. Grow Up has no loading walls to hide behind, so terrain and detail keep flowing in as the player moves.

Why Grow Up is demanding

Disk footprint is light, near 1 GB. Grow Up needs only 8 GB of RAM. At 2 GB, VRAM is a non issue for Grow Up. A 64 bit version of Windows is required.
