Can I Run Dark Envoy?
Event Horizon released Dark Envoy in 2023. It is a role playing game, self published by the studio. It offers a single player campaign and competitive multiplayer. Controller support is partial, so some input still falls back to the keyboard. Its 777 Steam reviews make it a niche release rather than a widely tested one. Windows is the only supported platform, which is what the figures below describe. It carries 52 achievements. Cloud saves are enabled. 11 languages are covered by the store listing.

Setting and environment
Dark Envoy places its action in a steampunk world, and the player works through spaces built for exploration. That openness is what costs performance. Dark Envoy has no loading walls to hide behind, so terrain and detail keep flowing in as the player moves. The view is from an isometric view. There are 14 official screenshots to judge the look from.
Why Dark Envoy is demanding
Very little is asked of the GPU by Dark Envoy. Nvidia Geforce 3060ti scores low against the RTX 3060, putting Dark Envoy within reach of laptop and integrated graphics. Disk footprint is light, near 40 GB. Dark Envoy needs 64 bit Windows. It wants 8 GB of video memory, which rules out the 6 GB cards that are otherwise quick enough. System memory is unusually high at 32 GB, so a 16 GB machine needs an upgrade even with a strong graphics card.
This reading comes from the published requirements and our own benchmark tables, not from the store listing.
Can you run Dark Envoy?
Dark Envoy is memory-hungry: it wants 16 GB of system RAM, above the 8 GB many machines still ship with. Graphically it is undemanding, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6gb / AMD Radeon RX 580 8gb clears the minimum, so more RAM, not a new GPU, is the upgrade most players need.
Bottleneck: RAM
Projected by resolution
| Resolution | Projection | Headroom |
|---|---|---|
| 1080p | Comfortable | 1.89x |
| 1440p | Borderline | 1.06x |
| 4K | Below the bar | 0.47x |
A projection, not a measurement. We scale the published GPU requirement by pixel count, since 1440p draws 1.78 times the pixels of 1080p and 4K draws 4 times as many, then compare against RTX 3060 / Ryzen 5 build. The publisher did not state a target resolution, so 1080p is assumed as the baseline. We hold no frame rate data, so no FPS figure is claimed. Headroom above 1 means the reference machine has room to spare at that resolution.
