Can I Run Brothers?
Brothers is a role playing simulation game from Overhype Studios, released in 2017. Hooded Horse published it. It offers a single player campaign. Windows is the only supported platform, which is what the figures below describe. Critics scored it 80 on Metacritic. With more than 25 thousand player reviews on Steam, its behaviour on real hardware is well documented. Progress follows the account through Steam Cloud rather than sitting on one disk. Completionists have 101 achievements to work through. Being 9 years old, it was built for the hardware of its day, so a current machine usually has headroom over the published figures.

Setting and environment
Brothers places its action in a medieval setting, and the player works through one continuous open world. The view is from a third person view. That openness is what costs performance. Brothers has no loading walls to hide behind, so terrain and detail keep flowing in as the player moves. 10 storefront images show what the game actually looks like in motion.
Why Brothers is demanding
Brothers makes almost no demand of the graphics card. Nearly any machine built in the last decade clears the stated NVIDIA GeForce GT 630 ( target. At 4 GB, system memory is undemanding. A 64 bit version of Windows is required. Disk footprint is light, near 2 GB.
This reading comes from the published requirements and our own benchmark tables, not from the store listing.
Can you run Brothers?
Brothers is light on hardware. Its minimum, NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 460 (1 GB) / AMD® Radeon™ HD 5770 (1 GB) / Intel® HD Graphics 4000, 2 GB RAM, about 2 GB free, sits below what an entry-level PC ships with today, so nearly any modern machine, and many older ones, will run it.
Bottleneck: CPU
Projected by resolution
| Resolution | Projection | Headroom |
|---|---|---|
| 1080p | Comfortable | 48.57x |
| 1440p | Comfortable | 27.32x |
| 4K | Comfortable | 12.14x |
A projection, not a measurement. We scale the published GPU requirement by pixel count, since 1440p draws 1.78 times the pixels of 1080p and 4K draws 4 times as many, then compare against RTX 3060 / Ryzen 5 build. The publisher did not state a target resolution, so 1080p is assumed as the baseline. We hold no frame rate data, so no FPS figure is claimed. Headroom above 1 means the reference machine has room to spare at that resolution.
