Setting and environment

Players spend their time in a gentle, brightly drawn world, moving through one continuous open world. Play is presented in three dimensions. That openness is what costs performance. BrickWorks has no loading walls to hide behind, so terrain and detail keep flowing in as the player moves. 5 storefront images show what the game actually looks like in motion.

Why BrickWorks is demanding

The graphics demand in BrickWorks is at the top end. RTX 3070 outscores our RTX 3060 reference, and a machine that clears BrickWorks comfortably will clear most other things. Windows 11 appears in the requirements, which is worth checking before buying BrickWorks. 16 GB of system memory is expected, the current mainstream figure. Minimum and recommended sit far apart here, which usually means BrickWorks scales hard with the hardware you give it. BrickWorks calls for DirectX 12, which rules out otherwise capable hardware that never got the feature level. BrickWorks takes about 10 GB of disk space.

This reading comes from the published requirements and our own benchmark tables, not from the store listing.

BrickWorks is one of the more demanding games on PC. To reach its recommended tier you'll want a RTX 3070 or equivalent AMD card.-class graphics card, with GTX 1080Ti or equivalent AMD card. the floor just to launch at minimum settings. Plan for a recent high-end GPU rather than a mainstream one.

Projected by resolution

ResolutionProjectionHeadroom
1080pBelow the bar0.77x
1440pBelow the bar0.43x
4KBelow the bar0.19x

A projection, not a measurement. We scale the published GPU requirement by pixel count, since 1440p draws 1.78 times the pixels of 1080p and 4K draws 4 times as many, then compare against RTX 3060 / Ryzen 5 build. The publisher did not state a target resolution, so 1080p is assumed as the baseline. We hold no frame rate data, so no FPS figure is claimed. Headroom above 1 means the reference machine has room to spare at that resolution.
