Can I Run A Day?
Released in 2024, A Day is an action adventure game built by KevTheDev. It offers a single player campaign and cooperative play. Saves sync through Steam Cloud, so moving between machines does not cost progress. Completionists have 25 achievements to work through. Only some of the game is mapped to a controller. It carries 588 Steam reviews, a small sample, so first hand performance reports are thin. It is a Windows title, so the requirements below are the Windows ones.

Setting and environment
A Day places its action in a horror setting, and the player works through one continuous open world. It is played from a third person view. That openness is what costs performance. A Day has no loading walls to hide behind, so terrain and detail keep flowing in as the player moves. 22 storefront images show what the game actually looks like in motion.
Why A Day is demanding
Demand in A Day is ordinary. The publisher has NVIDIA RTX 2060 in mind, which our tables place around the RTX 3060. Minimum and recommended sit far apart here, which usually means A Day scales hard with the hardware you give it. A Day calls for DirectX 12, which rules out otherwise capable hardware that never got the feature level. The install is small at roughly 20 GB. System memory expectations are modest at 8 GB.
This reading comes from the published requirements and our own benchmark tables, not from the store listing.
Can you run A Day?
A Day targets a mainstream modern PC: NVIDIA GTX 1060 and 8 GB of RAM for the minimum, stepping up to NVIDIA RTX 2060 for the recommended experience. No single part dominates the requirements, so a balanced mid-range build clears it.
Bottleneck: GPU
Projected by resolution
| Resolution | Projection | Headroom |
|---|---|---|
| 1080p | Runs well | 1.21x |
| 1440p | Below the bar | 0.68x |
| 4K | Below the bar | 0.3x |
A projection, not a measurement. We scale the published GPU requirement by pixel count, since 1440p draws 1.78 times the pixels of 1080p and 4K draws 4 times as many, then compare against RTX 3060 / Ryzen 5 build. The publisher did not state a target resolution, so 1080p is assumed as the baseline. We hold no frame rate data, so no FPS figure is claimed. Headroom above 1 means the reference machine has room to spare at that resolution.
