Highly compressed smaller models can run at the Q8_0 level for maximum precision. DeepSeek-Coder-V2 16B / 236B and Kimi-VL A3B run at Q6_K using 15.7 GB. Apriel-1.5-15B-Thinker and StarCoder2 3B / 7B / 15B run at Q8_0 using 19.1 GB. Qwen2.5 14B uses 19.5 GB at Q8_0. All memory calculations shown here are based on a standard 4k context window. If you increase the context window to process longer documents or chat histories, the memory requirement will grow.
